Objective

To introduce myself as a candidate for the position of teaching Bible education classes. Throughout this résumé I will show how my previous experience, education, and skills set are well suited for the position of Bible educator at your fine institution. Rather than continue, let me let my works and education speak for itself.

Experience

United States Air Force 2006-Present

As an airborne linguist in the United States Air Force I learned so much about leadership and service. My time in service also allowed me time to focus on personal development especially in the realm of education.

US Air Force: 390th Intelligence Squadron Kadena AB, Japan - 011-81-611-732-9477

Teleperformance USA 2004-2005

As a call center customer service agent I learned communication and understanding as I dealt with customers over the phone. These skills have continued to aid me throughout my life.

Teleperformance USA: 57 E Dayton Yellow Springs Rd, Fairborn, OH 45324; 937-879-8500

Operation Rebirth 2003-2004

As an assistant dorm parent for 7-8 boys at a Christian boarding school I got my first taste of being responsible for the teaching and training of young people. I also learned patience to deal with children that had been a problem for their parents and other educators.

Operation Rebirth: 1638 Apple Road St. Paris, Ohio 43072; 937-663-5765

Education

Liberty University 2013-Present

After a few years’ break from education because of my career in the Air Force, I returned to Liberty University Online to pursue my degree in General Studies Theology and Education.

Defense Language Institute 2006-2007

After joining the Air Force I passed all the prerequisite tests to enroll in the Defense Department’s premier language school. I completed an arduous year-and-a-half long concentrated course in Korean language and culture. I received an Associates Degree in Korean graduating with the highest possible score on the Defense Language Proficiency Test.

Cedarville University 2000-2003

I studied Music Education then later Music Theory/Composition. While I never completed a degree with Cedarville I gained an appreciation for higher education, which supported my later forays into education.

Skills

I have many hobbies and skills that would I would love to use to develop well-rounded students. Chess and photography are two that I would like to use to start clubs or support a school newspaper or teach classes on. I have worked as a freelance editor and would be able to bring those skills to create a school newspaper or work with any existing paper or publications the school would release. I’d also be interested in coaching sports: wrestling, cross-country, track, and soccer are the sports I have experience with and would like to coach.

I have experience teaching in a variety of positions, from teaching English as a second language tutor online and at a church, to working with Child Evangelism Fellowship as a Bible club teacher. I have always had a passion for passing along the logical, rational, loving, saving Truth that God has revealed to all mankind through nature and His Word, and I look forward to the opportunity to do so through a career in teaching.
